To want something to happen, and have good reason to think it might
A Mission of HOPE
We’re on a mission to use science and kindness to make radically better and sustainable pet food with alternative proteins so that all living things can live in harmony with the needs of our planet.
Science & Kindness

Transforming Values into Action
The Co-Founder of HOPE, Dr. Sofia Bonilla PhD specializes in proteins and bioprocessing. Our formulas are developed by Sofia and our in house pet nutritionist Alexandra Camara. Each and every ingredient has been carefully considered, researched and tested.
The result: premium formulas for your pet that deliver on nutrition, taste and are sustainably produced!
At HOPE, we voluntarily follow both the European Pet Food Industry (FEDIAF) recommendations and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) guidelines. Both associations set minimums and maximums for the nutrients in pet food. We go above and beyond the recommendations when formulating our foods.
Testing and maintaining high-quality standards is something we believe passionately. That is why each batch of HOPE pet food is tested by a third-party laboratory. This ensures that each batch is delivering excellent nutrition to your pet!
Right now, over 25% of all the meat produced in the world goes towards feeding our pets. Meat production leaves a massive carbon footprint. In fact, factory farming agriculture is the leading human-made carbon emitter! At HOPE we believe pet nutrition should empower both your pet and the planet to thrive so we’re bringing the latest science to pet food.
For this very reason, our formulas are made with insect protein. Insects are one of the most sustainable complete proteins. This is because to farm and produce on a large scale takes only a tiny fraction of the natural resources livestock and fish farming does.
Our foundation in science and kindness directly connects to our commitment to sustainability.
